Sally and Laura Panton, the Co-Founders and Directors of Pantonic Health, are passionate about increased access to early detection health-technology at the point-of-need. Pantonic’s legacy spans over 20 years in the pharmacy and primary healthcare sectors and in recent years Sally and Laura have re-imagined Pantonic Health to deliver world-leading health technology and affordable diagnostics for critical settings. Pantonic are proud to be Australian owned, powered by a dynamic team based in Melbourne and Sydney.

Pantonic Health holds a partnership with US based global malaria rapid diagnostics producer, Access Bio. (Funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Global Health Investment Fund).  In September 2020, Pantonic Health registered the CareStart™ COVID-19 rapid antigen test with the Therapeutic Goods Administration. CareStart was the first rapid antigen test to be utilised in Australia and was successfully able to scale at pace during subsequent waves of COVID-19. This was a testament to the partnerships with Access Bio and Arrotex Pharmaceuticals. After almost two years, CareStart remains as one of the most widely used, locally validated rapid antigen tests, with tens of millions of kits deployed to high-risk settings across multiple countries including Australia and New Zealand. 

Pantonic Health continues to harness the power of early detection with innovative and high-quality health technology and has more recently exclusively partnered with Regius Professor Chris Toumazou for his DnaNudge, portable ‘lab-on-a-chip’ technology. (Global Winner of the acclaimed UNESCO award in 2022.) This exciting partnership will provide the APAC region with access to this out of lab technology, which is a validated, portable, rapid and a highly accurate polymerase chain reaction test for point-of-care settings. The technology has application to screen for COVID-19, chronic disease, and various health conditions, validated at Imperial College in the United Kingdom in 2020.
